CBTM's clients benefit from the many years of international transaction experience of CBTM's founder and Managing Director, Alexander W. Faust.

Prior to founding Cross-Border Transaction Management, Mr. Faust worked as a Vice President in the Mergers Department of internationally renowned investment bank Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, the leading global M&A advisor in recent years. In this position, Mr. Faust advised (multinational) companies from a wide range of industries in connection with cross-border and US-related transactions. A particular focus of his practice, in addition to leading M&A teams, was advising executives on strategic alternatives to enhance the value of their company's stock. Before becoming an investment banker, Mr. Faust was a corporate lawyer with two of the world's largest international law firms, White & Case in New York and Freshfields in Frankfurt am Main and London. As a lawyer, Mr. Faust specialized in M&A and capital market transactions. He led, negotiated, documented and executed various cross-border M&A and corporate finance transactions for international clients.

Mr. Faust's background comprises a unique combination of European and US education and international transaction experience in three of the world's most important capital markets. He is also admitted as "Rechtsanwalt" (lawyer) in Germany and as Attorney-at-Law in the State of New York, USA.
